It also features Giro's Mini-Loc fit system with simple strap guides that enable your kid to put on the helmet without pinching skin. There's soft padding inside that feels great and a built-in visor for a bit of shade. This helmet is adjustable, enabling it to grow with your child. It's sized for infants and toddlers with heads measuring 18.75 to 20.5 inches in diameter.

20 vents with built-in bug netting keep your child's head cool.

Giro's Mini-Loc fit system features simple strap guides.

Fitting a Helmet
Here are some guidelines to getting the best fit for a bike helmet.

  • Eyes: The rim of the helmet should be up to 1 to 2 finger widths above the eyebrows
  • Ears: The straps should form a V under just beneath the ear lobe
  • Mouth: When the rider opens her mouth, the buckle should feel snug on the chin and the helmet should hug the head
Before using the helmet, stand in front of the mirror and grab the helmet with both hands and twist it to the left and to the right. If the helmet fits right, the skin on the forehead will move as the helmet moves. If it does not, then the helmet is too loose and is unsafe for use and you need to start over.

About Giro
Working late nights in his garage, designer/bike racer Jim Gentes created the first lightweight adult cycling helmet in 1985. Friends at NASA helped tune the final helmet shape and vent placement, and the result was the Giro Prolight, a helmet that was better looking than traditional designs while offering a superior fit and still met the industry's toughest safety standards. Plus, it was half the weight of traditional helmets. Since then, Giro has advanced its helmets, many of which have set the standards for styling, function, and innovation for progressive, performance-oriented riders on dirt, pavement, and snow. Giro helmets are worn by millions of riders, cyclists, skiers, and snowboarders around the world. Young-bloods and old-timers; hard-cores, heshers, and hipsters; rookies, experts, and a few regular Joes too--in fact, pretty much anyone that appreciates superior fit and function, cutting edge styling, and the very best ideas you get in a helmet.

The Me2 features thoughtful touches that parents adore and kids appreciate, like simple strap guides, an adjustable fit system and a buckle that won't pinch soft skin. It's the perfect start to a lifelong bond with helmets.

With Roc Loc 5, you can easily dial-in both fit tension and adjust vertical position with a single hand. Just twist the dial for a tighter feel on tough terrain, then back it off a notch and relax across the flats or a warm climb. Even with these remarkable features, Roc Loc 5 is still 40-percent lighter than its popular predecessor, Roc Loc 4. Roc Loc 5 systems is: 1) Micro Dial. The heart of the Roc Loc 5 is this ratcheting, micro-adjusting dial. A simple, two-finger twist of the Micro Dial opens or closes the retention system and each click is audible. 2) Three-Position Vertical Fit - It's never been easier to change vertical positions and fine-tune fit. We incorporated a three-position bracket that features 15-millimeters of precise up/down movement. Like the Micro Dial, this system can be adjusted without removing the helmet. 3) Carefully crafted ergonomic arms are shaped to be as comfortable as possible, yet work flawlessly with Giro eyewear (what we call Super Fit engineering). 4) Dual Pods - These two panels are designed to firmly grasp the back of your head while comfortably cradling the occipital lobe. Strap management - with Roc Loc 5, your helmet straps are woven through the fit system, so they are always in the perfect position. Complex Internal Design - Dozens of small parts work together seamlessly to provide exceptionally user-friendly adjustment. Minimal and Light, yet Strong - Although this fit system is 40% lighter than its predecessor, it's much stronger. In testing, Roc Loc 5 performs flawlessly, even after 6,600 cycles (equivalent to 3 years of riding with 3 round trips per day).

  • Complies with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission's safety standards for bicycle helmets

The Influx features a Blade visor with horizontal I-beam pins to keep the visor in place with minimal intrusion, and Bell's GPS (Geared Positioning System) fitting method to deliver an easy one-hand adjustment for fit and comfort.

The Bell Influx also features internal reinforcement through a composite skeleton that fortifies the helmet in the same way rebar makes concrete stronger, and cam-lock levers that make it easy to adjust the straps around your ears. For your comfort, this bicycle helmet includes 18 channeled vents that are specially designed to force cool, fresh air in through the front and around your head, while flushing warm air out of the rear ports.
